Bill Graham was a German-born American impresario and rock concert promoter. Graham had a profound influence around the world, sponsoring the musical renaissance of the 1960s from its epicenter in San Francisco.
Bill Graham is credited as the first big promoter to book The Grateful Dead in San Francisco at The Fillmore Auditorium on January 8th, 1966. Not only did he help manage and promote the band, he owned both The Fillmore and Winterland Arena, two of the Dead’s most played venues.
This varsity jacket was gifted to Bill in 1990 by The Grateful Dead and is tagged "Grateful Dead Merchandising Inc". It is on consignment from his son.
This is an incredibly special piece and belongs in the hands of a collector.
