The "Blues for Salvador" benefit concert, organized by Bill Graham, was held on January 23, 1988, at the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center in Oakland, California. The concert aimed to raise awareness and support for the people of El Salvador during a time of conflict in Central America. The event featured prominent musicians like Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, NRBQ, Wayne Shorter, and Tower of Power. The concert was also named after Carlos Santana's then-current album, "Blues for Salvador".
